The degree programme in Dental Nursing is the first of its kind for the industry - offering students the opportunity to study a university-validated qualification in a vibrant and innovative college environment. The course has been purposefully designed in response to demand from industry professionals to provide a programme of study for dental nurses to future-proof their career and place them at the same level as other professional groups within a dental team.

This degree is validated by the University of the West of Scotland (UWS).

You will develop knowledge and skills as you undertake the following modules:

Academic Skills for Dental Nurses; Oral Health Promotion with Technology; Computer-Aided Design for the Dental Team; Promoting Inclusion in Oral Health; Therapeutic Interventions in Healthcare; Anatomy and Imaging in Dental Practice.

Supervised clinical placement will continue to develop practical experience in a dental practice setting.

Entry Requirements

BSc Dental Nursing (Year 1), or HNC Dental Nursing, or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 7. Interview. Skills assessment.
