This Scottish Wider Access Programme (SWAP) course is designed for adults returning to education who aspire to become a registered Podiatrist or progress to life science-based higher education such as HNC/D or degree-level study. You’ll build a strong foundation in Biology, Chemistry, and Core Skills, developing the academic confidence and practical understanding needed to succeed at university. The course also introduces the scientific principles that underpin podiatric practice, such as anatomy, physiology, and patient care.

Core skills: Communications, Mathematics.

Core subjects include: Biology and Chemistry.

Entry Requirements

No formal entry requirements however applicants should preferably have a gap in their formal education (3 or 5 years). For successful applicants progressing to university in health related areas. Entry subject to interview and written test.

You will require a satisfactory criminal record check from Disclosure Scotland to show that you are suitable for this type of course. Contact Disclosure Scotland for details on the type you would need.
