Content

This course gives you an introduction to health and social care professions and the career paths available in these areas. It allows you to begin your studies at level 6 studying subjects such as care and psychology. Successful completion of this course can lead you to a place on an HNC, HND, or degree course at college or university in the SWAP – East network.

You will study a range of health and social care units covering topics such as:
values and principles; human development; investigate health and social care services; your professional code of conduct.

You will also study topics such as numeracy and ICT to ensure you gain critical life skills, including communications to develop your literacy skills.

Entry Requirements

No formal entry requirements. There is an interview with a short activity and a one to one session to ensure the level is right for the person.
