This course will give you the required skills and knowledge to take advantage of many different career opportunities in nursing, health and allied health professions. It will also prepare you for the new registration requirements for Health Care Support Workers and is preparation towards becoming an Associate Practitioner.
2 Highers at C or above, preferably including English or a science subject plus National 5 English and Maths (if not held at Higher); or Foundation Apprenticeship Social Services and Healthcare; or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. You will require satisfactory Occupational Health Screening.
You will require a satisfactory criminal record check from Disclosure Scotland to show that you are suitable for this type of course. Contact Disclosure Scotland for details on the type you would need.
You may be able to progress to our BSc Adult or Mental Health Nursing, with a B in the graded unit, or to the second year of the BA (Hons) Health and Social Studies.
