Content

This course is part of the Scottish Wider Access Programme (SWAP) and provides the key skills and entry requirements you need to progress to higher education within health and social care.

SWAP Access to Nursing runs in partnership between colleges and universities in the east of Scotland to promote and support access to higher education in nursing.

As people live longer, demand for qualified workers in health and social care continues to grow across our region, Scotland and the rest of the developed world. As a result, there are opportunities for work in nursing, social care, health promotion and related fields across the NHS, local authorities and private companies.

This course aims to equip you with a thorough knowledge of human growth and development. Through theoretical study this course will build the foundations to a career in either nursing, health or social care.
