If you would like to work in a hospital or in the community supporting an Allied Health Professional such as a physiotherapist, occupational therapist or podiatrist this could be the course for you.

Learning Topics include:

Working in the Health Sector; Improving Health and Wellbeing; Safe Practice in Care; Human Body; Person Centred Care.

Entry Requirements

5 subjects at National 5. Entry is subject to an interview.

You will require a satisfactory criminal record check from Disclosure Scotland to show that you are suitable for this type of course. Contact Disclosure Scotland for details on the type you would need.

Progression Routes

On successful completion of the course, you may be able to find employment in the NHS or care sector. NHS are guaranteeing interviews for various Support Worker positions, across all areas of allied health.

You may also progress onto HNC Healthcare Practice, Social Services or Counselling.
