Allied health support workers include a range of jobs supporting occupational therapists, podiatrists, radiographers, dieticians, physiotherapists and others.

You will develop self-awareness and develop knowledge, skills and qualities to effectively work in supporting role.

Entry Requirements

5 subjects at National 5, preferably including English. Or Health and Social Care (Level 5), or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5. Entry is subject to an interview.

You will require a satisfactory criminal record check from Disclosure Scotland to show that you are suitable for this type of course. Contact Disclosure Scotland for details on the type you would need.

Progression Routes

On successful completion of the course, you may be able to find employment in the NHS or care sector. NHS are guaranteeing interviews for various Support Worker positions, across all areas of allied health.

You may also progress onto HNC Healthcare Practice.
