Kilmarnock Campus
Our SWAP programmes are specifically designed to prepare adults with life experience who wish to return to education for advanced level study at college or university. Partnership links with universities provide a range of opportunities to progress to HNC or degree courses.
The SWAP Access to Health and Paramedic is aimed at people who have been out of education for 5 years or more, who have little or no qualifications and who wish to become a Paramedic. It is not applicable for recent school leavers or graduates.
This course is specifically for people who have been out of full-time education for at least 5 years. It prepares adult returners for entry into Higher Education and can lead to a place at college or university. A place on the course is subject to an interview process and a satisfactory reference.
During the programme you will have the opportunity to apply for the Undergraduate Paramedic Science Degree at Glasgow Caledonian University, Stirling University and University of West of Scotland.
You may also progress onto HNC Healthcare Practice, HNC Social Services, HNC Working with Communities or HNC Counselling.
