This course provides an opportunity for students who are returning to education to obtain the University entrance qualifications required for Nursing.
All subjects will be taught and assessed as a continuous process, with no end of course examinations. A combination of workbooks, practical activities, and written assessments are used to assess the level of knowledge and understanding.
Learners will be in college 3 full days. The college days start at 9am and finishes at 4:15pm.
On this course you will study First Aid, HIV Hepatitis B and C, you will also study core skills such as Communications and Numeracy.
No formal qualifications. Participation at an information session, skills assessment and interview forms part of the selection criteria.
You will require a satisfactory criminal record check from Disclosure Scotland to show that you are suitable for this type of course. Contact Disclosure Scotland for details on the type you would need.
