This course is for those who would like to explore pathways within the care sector. You’ll gain the knowledge and skills to equip you for various healthcare and social services careers.
Content covers a wide range of subjects including:
health and social care provision; human development and behaviour; social influences on life chances; explore the needs of specific groups; families in modern society; and, key skills.
5 relevant subjects at National 4 including English and preferably Maths, or a relevant qualification at SCQF Level 4 such as Access to Health and Social Care (Level 4) (Fast Track). Entry is subject interview and written activity.
Progression on to a course at SCQF Level 6, such as Higher Health and Social Care (Level 6).
