Dundee's adult nursing course prepares you to care for individuals with a range of health conditions. Nursing care can take place in the community, home, hospitals and in nursing homes. You will gain experience in all these areas while on placement.
As an adult nurse you will learn how to provide compassionate care to adults with both acute and long-term illnesses. Nurses work as part of a team alongside doctors, therapists, pharmacists and healthcare assistants. You will undertake inter-professional learning as part of our course.
Adult nurses work with patients and their families supporting them through challenging situations. Providing support can be a very rewarding experience. Many of those who we care for are elderly as they learn to adapt to a stage of life that often brings with it long term health conditions.
