Biomedical Engineering combines engineering principles with medical and biological sciences to design and create equipment, devices, computer systems, and software used in healthcare.

This course offers taught core components and intensive research training. You will learn to solve a variety of engineering challenges in the medical field. You will also learn about the operating environments where these technologies are expected to function.

Entry Requirements

2020 entry requirements:
4 Highers at BBBB (minimum) but typically AABB including Maths and a science or technological subject; Physics preferred plus English at National 5.

Advanced entry to 2nd year available with Advanced Higher Maths and a science or technological subject, Physics preferred, at AB or BA plus Highers at AB (in different subjects).
