This course will increase your understanding of scientific principles and practice, and is aimed at those who have limited formal qualifications in science. A particularly large amount of the course will involve stimulating practical activities, experiments and laboratory work ensuring the course is exciting, engaging and informative. Examples of practical activities might include the study of microbial growth in foodstuffs, the production of electricity from chemicals and the applications of physics to forensic investigations.
Relevant subjects at National 5; or Introduction to Science (Level 4).
