NQ Applied Sciences (Level 6) is a highly rewarding course. It provides you with the essential knowledge and skills required to progress onto HNC and HND study, so that you may pursue degree courses and jobs in a range of biological and chemical sciences. Such jobs are found in the biotechnology, biomedical sciences, pharmaceutical, and chemistry industries.

NQ Applied Sciences (level 6) develops knowledge of the sciences from National 5 and helps you to build practical and study skills to support your progression.

Subjects include:
Biology (Higher units); Chemistry (Higher units); Physics (National 5 units); Mathematics for Science.

Plus, at Cardonald campus:
Physiology; Genetics; Forensic science; Statistics.

Or, at Langside Campus:
Dymanics and space (Nat5 Physics); Practical skills: biology and chemistry; Science report writing skills; Laboratory safety.

Entry Requirements

National 5 English, Maths, Biology and Chemistry at A or B, or NQ Applied Sciences (Level 5). Interview.
