This course includes units from Higher Chemistry, Maths and either Higher Human Biology or Biology, providing the skills required to become a lab technician or study science further. Using state-of-the-art laboratory facilities, this course provides valuable experience, knowledge and technical skills for working in a science lab environment.

There is a strong emphasis on the development of good technical skills through practical work, lectures and case studies.

This course enables students to advance on to HNC, HND or degree level study and/or to secure employment in science-related industry sectors.

Units from Higher Human Biology or Biology; Units from Higher Chemistry; Units from Higher Maths; Science Investigation Project; Physics; Experimental Biology; Experimental Chemistry; Experimental Science; Science and Technology in Society.

Entry Requirements

National 5 English, Maths, Biology and Chemistry; or NC Applied Science (Level 5). Interview.
