This course is designed to develop your knowledge of the science industry. You will learn the skills needed to progress into employment in the science sector or be prepared for further study of HNC/D in Applied Science.

This is a full-time course taught at Edinburgh College’s Sighthill campus. Our Science department offers you the opportunity to study in purpose-built laboratories. These will support the development of your general and specialist practical skills whilst enhancing your theoretical understanding of science. You will learn a wide range of employer-relevant skills in the key science areas of Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Mathematics.

This course is a steppingstone towards full-time employment or further study which can lead to a university degree. This course does not allow you to register for Higher exams.

Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Mathematics.

Entry Requirements

Maths and two from Biology, Chemistry and Physics at National 5. English preferred; or NC Applied Science (Level 5).
