Being the equivalent of a 1st year undergraduate degree, our HNC Sound Production course on offer at our Coatbridge and Cumbernauld campuses (located just 20 minutes from Glasgow city centre) covers a wide range of specialised music and sound production disciplines. Students embark on a host of practical projects designed to train and prepare for further academic aspirations and a career within the Creative Industries. With subjects such as: Studio Recording & Mixing, Sound Design for Films and Games, Sound for Live Events, and Music Production, you'll be skilled to a high level benefiting from using industry standard hardware and software by the likes of SSL, Ableton and Avid.

Units include: Sound Production Practice; Sound Production Theory; Multi-track Recording and Mixing; Sound Reinforcement; Digital Audio Workstations; Acoustics.

Entry Requirements

1 Higher; or NC Creative Music and Sound Production; or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. You will also be required to undertake an interview.
