This course is industry recognised by ScreenSkills, the industry-led skills body for the UK's screen-based industries, and carries the ScreenSkills Select quality-mark which indicates courses best suited to prepare students for a career in the screen industries.

This course develops the skills you need for television production. The course will focus on the creative and practical skills required in single camera and studio production, while supporting practical experience of camera, sound, lighting, directing, editing and production management.

You'll gain technical and practical experience in:

Camera; Sound; Lighting, including Location Lighting; Location Sound; Directing on Location; Advanced Single Camera; Editing and Production Management.

With these skills, you'll create your own documentary, which you can then use as a showreel.

Entry Requirements

Higher English plus 2 subjects at National 5, or NQ Media, or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Interview.
