Working on a range of projects from week 1, whether you’re interested in audio engineering, production, sound design for games and film, re-mixing or using DAWs and instruments to create songs and soundscapes, we’ll support you to acquire work-ready skills. You’ll also develop an understanding of the wider creative industries and how your skills can contribute to the success of computer games, film and television, music and radio production, and much more.
You will study:
Recording and mixing; Sound and music production theory and practice; The creative industries; Acoustics; Digital audio workstations; Location recording; Post production sound; Creative music re-mixing; Pro Tools 101 and related AVID courses.
2 Highers; preferably English and Music or Music Technology; or Foundation Apprenticeship: Creative and Digital Media; or NC Sound Production; or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Interview and short practical test.
