In this course, you may uncover the perfect blend of technical expertise and theoretical knowledge needed for a thriving career in the fast-paced media industry. Discover how to bring your passion for media to life while gaining valuable skills.

Content includes: Explore creating media content; Analyse films from a range of genres; Develop skills in scriptwriting; Study media photography; Analyse professional ads in video, radio and print format; and, Look at advertising.

You may have the chance to take part in live projects, be involved in the Annual End of Year Show which features work from all creative departments and take part in the college's Film Festival where the best short films from the year are screened.

Entry Requirements

4 subjects at National 5; or Introduction to Film and Broadcasting (Level 5); or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5. Entry subject to interview, where you should bring a sample of your work for discussion and a further sample of your written work, like research into a job role in the industry.
