This popular course allows students the opportunity to study towards Higher English and National 5 qualifications, waAre you interested in Creative Writing but lack the necessary qualifications for further study and employment? If so, this course is for you! Industries such as Film, TV, Podcasting, Digital Content Creation, Social Media, Gaming and Literature all depend heavily on Creative Writing input and the imaginative powers of its authors. This course will provide you with the creative and technical skills in order to work collaboratively across and beyond the sector.

The creative industries have been identified as one of 7 growth sectors by the Scottish Government, with its contribution to the economy (GVA) having grown 62% between 2008 and 2017. hich are required for GTCS registration. These will be externally assessed by SQA in May 2025. Students will also study an exciting range of relevant subjects such as British Sign Language and Psychology to prepare them for a career in Education.

As part of this course, students will be signposted to volunteer opportunities to gain experience working within the community.
