The NQ Sound Production (Level 6) course is designed for creative individuals who want to explore the world of recorded and live sound, music technology, and audio production. You’ll gain hands-on experience in our professional studios and live sound environments, collaborating with Music Business & Music Performance students, developing the technical and creative skills that form the foundation of a career in this fast-evolving industry.
Working with industry-standard equipment and software, you’ll learn how to record, mix, and master sound while developing your understanding of how music and audio connect across media and performance contexts.
Content includes:
Sound production: recording and editing; Music technology in context; Sound engineering and production; Sound for live events; An introduction to the UK music industry; Music remixing; and, Midi sequencing.
No formal entry requirements. National 5 English preferred.
