This exciting course will develop knowledge and skills in sound production with the aim of preparing successful candidates for progression to university and/or a wide range of careers including recording studio engineering, music production, live sound and audio post production.
Using the College's state-of-the-art facilities, students will develop a solid 'hands on' understanding of the latest digital technologies, as well as industry standard analogue classics, giving them the opportunity to become skilled in a wide range of current sound production practices and techniques.
Creativity and employability will be enhanced through working on a wide variety of practical projects, while essential underpinning business knowledge in working in the sound production field, will be developed through contextualized individual and group learning. Past students have gained employment with the BBC, SECC, recording studios and audio-visual companies.

2 Highers including English and Computing Science, Music or Physics; or Foundation Apprenticeship Creative and Digital Media plus 1 Higher, preferably Maths, Music Technology or Physics; or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Interview.
Year 3 of a Sound Production or Music Technology related degree, through the college's articulation links.
