City Campus
This International Hospitality, Tourism and Events Management programme is delivered at City of Glasgow College and validated by Queen Margaret University (QMU). This is a top-up programme for graduates of the HND Hospitality Management, HND Travel and Tourism and HND International Events Management programmes who meet the entry requirements.
The first two years of the degree programme comprise the HND programmes mentioned above. The third year will be delivered by the City of Glasgow College, when you'll attend classes at college with some visits organised to QMU. If you choose to progress to Yr 4 – BA (Hons), you will be required to attend classes at QMU campus in Musselburgh, Edinburgh. The degree will be awarded by Queen Margaret University.
During the academic session (year 3), you will undertake study across six modules (three per semester). See modules below:
Hospitality, Tourism and Events for Economic and Social Change; Special Interest Hospitality, Tourism and Events; People, Planet, Purpose; Project Management Live Event; Research Methods (Online); New Enterprise Start-Up.
HND Events Management, HND Hospitality Management or HND Travel & Tourism. Entry subject to interview.
You may opt to progress to 4th year of study at QMU, where you would complete a further 120 SCQF credits at SCQF level 10 and exit with a BA (Hons) in International Hospitality, Tourism and Events Management.
