The Event Industry offers exciting career opportunities within corporate, hospitality, sporting, charity and live performance sectors both nationally and internationally. This course will provide you with theoretical knowledge, practical skills for event delivery alongside development of meta-skills required to undertake a variety of job roles within this industry as well as entry to higher level Event Management and other related courses.

You will study subjects associated with the planning and organising of events, event sectors, food and beverage service for events, event costing, administration and IT skills for business, marketing alongside developing communication, team working and, decision making skills whilst enhancing entrepreneurship and academic study skills. As a team member, you will work within Scholars’ Restaurant one of the college’s commercial outlets to develop your practical skills in Customer Care and Food and Beverage Service.

Entry Requirements

3 subjects at National 5 including English, or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5. Interview.
