Fabrication and welding is one of the most important techniques used in engineering. The course allows students the opportunity to build on knowledge and skills in a range of specialist fabrication, welding and inspection system principles and technologies. This advanced course will delve into key processes used in many local industries.

Welding principles and applications 1; Welding principles and applications 2; Fabrication : Preparation, joining and assembly; Quality Management: An Introduction; Fabrication and welding materials; Inspection systems; Communication; Welding Procedures; Containers: Design and Manufacture; Engineering Drawing; Material Selection; Fabrication, Welding and Inspection Graded Unit.

Entry Requirements

2 relevant Highers or relevant Foundation Apprenticeship, or relevant NC. Interview and aptitude test.
