Immerse yourself in a curriculum that combines theoretical knowledge with practical skills. In this course, you may:

develop an understanding of fabrication, including marking out fabrication engineering drawings; explore specialised welding processes for specific applications; enhance practical skills in various welding processes; learn to design and manufacture metal containers; understand basic inspection systems in the fabrication industry; explore value engineering techniques; operate a commercial CAD system for 2D engineering drawings; learn engineering management theory that can be applied to effective engineering supervision, planning, production control, quality management, Health and Safety and risk assessment.

Entry Requirements

1 relevant Higher, or Foundation Apprenticeship Engineering, or NC Fabrication and Welding Engineering, or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6.
