With this course, you will gain vital knowledge and understanding of engineering principles, working towards a recognised Higher National qualification that will allow you to progress on to a variety of further study options, including degrees or employment in the engineering industry.

You will study: Business awareness and continuing professional development; Applied industrial plant maintenance; Mathematics engineering skills (workshop); Plant systems; Process and equipment selection; Heat transfer and fluid mechanics; Strength of materials: advanced; Design for manufacture.

Entry Requirements

Higher Maths at B and Chemistry, Physics or a technological subject; or Foundation Apprenticeship Engineering; or Mechanical Engineering (including SWAP Access to Engineering); or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Interview.
