The course is practical in nature, where you will gain skills while working in our in-house purpose-built restaurant. You will develop communication and customer care skills in a customer facing role. The course will develop your confidence in all aspects of running events within hospitality.

The industry is fast paced, exciting and dynamic and if you have the skills and drive you can be a in a supervisory or junior management position within a short period of time. Age is no barrier in the hospitality industry. You will study a range of subjects in theory and practical classes to understand how the different subjects are inter-related. Subjects will be delivered in a project based approach.

You will study: Food and Beverage Service; Barista Skills; Event Organising; Alcoholic Beverages; Reception and Concierge skills; Events; Costing.

Entry Requirements

4 subjects at National 5; or Foundation Apprenticeship Hospitality; or Intermediate Certificate: Tourism, Events and Business; or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5. Interview.
