This 1 year course will enable you to learn sector specific skills and knowledge required for a vibrant and exciting career in events. Studying a highly sought-after qualification recognised by industry professionals, you’ll study units encompassing a wide range of areas within the sector. By learning through independent study, tutor led-classes, group activities alongside practical hands-on event planning and organising, you will be well placed for a career in the industry or further study.

You study:

Events: Graded Unit 1; Organising an Event; Events Industry: An Introduction; Event Legislation: Safety and Licensing; Event Budgeting and Funding; Using Software Application Packages; Communication; Marketing; Exhibition Planning and Organisation; Conferences.

Entry Requirements

2 Highers including English or another English based subject; or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6; interview.
