This one-year course has been designed in partnership with the University of Glasgow to allow successful students to progress on to Year 2 of the following degree programmes within the University’s School of Engineering:

Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Systems, Biomedical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design Engineering, Mechanical Engineering with Aeronautics, and Mechatronics.

In the first year at college you will study the following subjects:

Statics and Strength of Materials; Thermofluids; Dynamics; Materials Selection; Engineering Maths 1, 2, 3 and 4; Pneumatics and Hydraulics; Engineering Principles; Computer-Aided Draughting for Engineers; Engineering Drawing; Communications; Introduction to Quality Management; DC and AC Principles; Design for Manufacture.

In addition to attending college, you will also attend additional sessions at the University's main campus.

Entry Requirements

Higher Maths and Physics or Engineering Science at B, or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Interview.
