This exciting one-year course is a hands-on project based course designed as an introduction to career paths in radio, television, film, digital media and potentially journalism or media and communications.

Based in classrooms and our professional radio and TV studios, you will be working on your own and in teams. With the support of staff, you’ll develop a broad range of creative and work-ready skills including; creative analysis, creative process and production, problem solving, working with others and entrepreneurialism.

You will learn about content production techniques of video/film, radio and podcast production in a practical setting using professional equipment.

You will develop the knowledge and skills in high demand for modern broadcasting; Podcasting, Vlogging, YouTube, Green Screen, Big Screen, Small Screen, mobile, streaming, live, recorded etc.

Entry Requirements

2 subjects at National 5 including English, or Foundation Apprenticeship Creative and Digital Media plus National 5 English, or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5. Entry subject to interview.
