This course will offer a wide range of engineering practical skills. You will study a wide range of subjects from Mechanical Engineering to electrical and manufacturing. This course provides the fundamental knowledge and practical skills to progress within the Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering Discipline.

The course includes:

Communication; Mathematics: Technician 1; Engineering: Applying Information Technology; Engineering Project; Computer Aided Draughting (CAD) for Engineering; Engineering Design; Engineering Dimensional Control; Engineering Materials; Engineering Workshop Skills; Material Removal Practice: Milling; Material Removal Practice: Turning; Engineering Material Removal Principles.

Entry Requirements

National 5 English, Maths and a technological subject; or NQ Engineering Practice (Level 5); or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5. Interview and aptitude test.

Progression Routes

NC Level 6 and HNC/D is possible.
