This course provides an excellent foundation in mechanical engineering. Attaining this award allows students to progress to HN level courses.

Communication; Mathematics Technician 1 and 2; Engineering: Applying Information Technology; Computer Aided Draughting (CAD) for Engineers; Industrial CNC Machining - Pneumatics and Hydraulics; Power Drives; Thermofluids; Graphical Engineering Communication; Engineering Dynamics: An Introduction; Statics - Engineering Dimensional Control; Engineering Materials; Material Removal Practice: Turning.

Entry Requirements

3 subjects at National 5 including Maths and a science or a technological subject; or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5. Entry subject to interview.

Progression Routes

Relevant HNC/D or entry to a Modern Apprenticeship.
