Content

This course offers a good mix of practical work and theory to introduce you to the skills and knowledge you’ll need for further study or employment.

You will: develop complex engineering workshop skills; develop skills in complex engineering assemblies; develop skills in using conventional, manual machinery and then CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machining; develop skills in basic engineering design; develop skills in Computer Aided Draughting (CAD); look at mechanical engineering and learn about the systems; develop skills in graphical engineering communication; learn to use basic maths and apply IT in an engineering context.

Entry Requirements

4 subjects at National 5; or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5. Entry subject to interview.

Relevant HNC or Modern Apprenticeship.
