This course provides instruction in the skills and knowledge required for a career in landscaping. It covers a range of subjects including hard and soft landscaping plus planning and design and is intended to prepare you for self-employment or employment in the landscaping industry and for progression to higher education.
Course delivery is through both practical and theoretical study and you should be prepared for a degree of classroom study.
Units include: Design and planning; Plant Identification; Soft landscaping; Protected crop production; Hard Landscaping; Brickwork.
National 4 English and Maths, or NQ Introduction to Horticulture (Level 4) or NQ Introduction to Landscape Design and Greenkeeping, or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 4. Students with relevant work experience may be admitted without formal qualifications. Entry subject to interview.
