If you like the idea of landscaping, this course gives you the capability to achieve your goals. You’ll learn the practical and theoretical aspects including planning, design and construction, the difference between hard and soft landscaping, brickwork and fencing.

This course gives you the skills and knowledge required for a career in landscaping, whether you choose self-employment or a job in the landscaping industry - learning outdoors, in the classroom and in our workshops and glasshouses.

Units include: Design and planning; Plant identification; Soft landscaping; Protected crop production; Hard landscaping; Brickwork; Fence construction; CAD; Drainage; Surveying; Lawn care.

Entry Requirements

3 subjects at National 4 including English and Maths, or NQ Introduction to Horticulture with Landscaping Skills (Level 4), or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 4. A reasonable level of fitness is also desirable.
