This course provides instruction in the skills and knowledge required for a career in landscaping. It covers a range of subjects including hard and soft landscaping plus planning and design and is intended to prepare you for self-employment or employment in the landscaping industry and for progression to higher education.

Course delivery is through both practical and theoretical study and you should be prepared for a degree of classroom study.

Units include: Design and planning; Plant Identification; Soft landscaping; Protected crop production; Hard Landscaping; Brickwork; Garden fence construction; CAD; Landscape Design.

Entry Requirements

National 4 English and Maths, NC Horticulture or NC Landscape Design and Construction (Level 4). Students with relevant work experience may be admitted without formal qualifications. Entry subject to interview.
