If you want to gain skills in horticulture or gardening, this NQ Introduction to Horticulture course is for you. As part of the programme you will gain a National Progression Award and an SVQ Level 1 certificate in Horticulture. When you study horticulture at Glasgow Clyde College you will learn in purpose-built classrooms, workshops and glasshouses, providing you with an exceptional learning environment for progression to a career in horticulture and gardening.

Units include: An Introduction to Gardening Skills; An Introduction to Tools and Machinery; An Introduction to Turf Maintenance; Prepare, Create and Maintain a Landscape Area; Hard and Soft Landscaping; Plant Identification; Plant Health and Propagation.

Entry Requirements

Relevant qualifications at SCQF Level 3.

Progression Routes

City and Guilds Diploma in Horticulture or other relevant qualifications at SCQF Level 5.
