Content

This course is designed to attract 16-19 year olds who enjoy and have an interest in hands-on land-based subjects and would like to develop their knowledge in this area.

Students will be given the opportunity to study and gain practical experience in a range of land-based industries such as agriculture, horticulture, conservation, animal care and more.

Content includes: Tree and Shrub Planting; Species and Habitats: an Introduction; Constructing Rural Features; Woodland Skills; Estate Maintenance; Basic Tractor Operations; Small Powered Machinery Operations; Aquaculture: An Introduction to Finfish Production; Tree Identification; Forestry in Britain;
Gardening Skills.
