This NQ Introduction to Horticulture with Landscaping Skills course will allow you to experience the landscaping industry and develop an extensive range of knowledge and skills to allow progression to employment or to further studies within the land-based sector. The course is delivered in purpose-built classrooms, workshops and glasshouses, providing an exceptional learning environment to study landscape design and construction.

Units include: Preparation of landscape areas; Construction of landscape areas; Maintaining landscape areas; Lawn care; Brickwork; Use of tools and machinery; Horticultural skills; Plant identification; Path construction; Setting out skills; Allotment gardens.

Entry Requirements

Relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 3.
