If you like the idea of landscaping, this course gives you the capability to achieve your goals. You’ll learn the practical and theoretical aspects including planning, design and construction, the difference between hard and soft landscaping, brickwork and fencing. This course gives you the skills and knowledge required for a career in landscaping, whether you choose self-employment or a job in the landscaping industry - learning outdoors, in the classroom and in our workshops and glasshouses.
You'll learn about:
Design and planning; Plant identification; Soft landscaping; Protected crop production; Hard landscaping; Brickwork; Fence construction; CAD: Drainage; Surveying; Lawn care.
3 subjects at National 4, or NC Introduction to Horticulture with Landscaping Skills (Level 4), or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 4. You should also have a keen interest in working outdoors, and demonstrate this in your application.
HND Horticulture or HNC Lanscape Management.
