Routes into Care and Social Sciences is an engaging and nurturing course, that allows students to learn more about how to work with and support people, understand and support their needs, and identify different job roles and opportunities in the caring sector and beyond.
This course has been specially designed to support you in starting your journey towards further study and working in:
Childcare and Early Learning; Social Services and Care; Health professions; Social Sciences.
What you will learn:
Meta skills; Communication; Working with others; Problem solving; Employability; Digital communication.
Topics will include:
Introduction to social services, health and care; Introduction to psychology and sociology; Introduction to childcare, play and learning; Wellbeing; Equality, diversity and inclusion; Sustainability.
No formal entry requirements. You will attend a brief meeting where we can speak to you about your interest in this area of study and speak to you about any additional help or support we can offer you to help you succeed.
You should be enthusiastic and committed to working with others, and learning about care, health, childcare and social sciences.
