Dundee and Angus College comprises three main campuses, two in Dundee and one in Arbroath, as well as learning centres across the Angus region.
The college has excellent links with many universities, making it easier for students to progress to a degree programme, often directly to second or third year.
Courses and subjects
Courses range from introductory level to Higher National Diploma (HND) and degree courses. There is a wide curriculum on offer through the following areas: Access and Essential Skills; Accounting; Administration and IT; Agriculture, Estates and Horticulture; Animal Care; Art and Design; Business; Children and Young People; Computing and Creative Media; Construction, Technology and Building Services; Engineering; ESOL, Languages and TEFL; Hair, Beauty and Complementary Therapies; Health and Social Care; Hospitality and Professional Cookery; Housing; Performing Arts; Retail, Events and Marketing; Science; Service Design; Social Science; Sport and Fitness; Supported Education; and Travel and Tourism.
As well as articulation agreements with universities, the college has long established links with employers and industrial training bodies mean courses are relevant to current employment opportunities. New programmes are developed to match new and emerging jobs.
Facilities and services
The Arbroath Campus offers specialist rooms and workshops including creative studies workshops; a hair and beauty salon; training restaurant; and the Helping Hands Nursery.
The Gardyne Campus is a new state-of-the-art building with leading technology, including a recording studio and theatre. Sports facilities include a fitness suite, swimming pool and outdoor playing fields.
The Kingsway Campus is home to The Space, an award-winning dance and theatre complex with a 200 seat theatre. It also has hair and beauty salons and training restaurant.
Dundee and Angus College is an accredited centre for the delivery of professional qualifications for a range of awarding bodies including the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT), Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) and the Royal Institute of Public Health (RIPH).
