This course includes a range of Level 6 subjects relevant to careers in health and social care.

Learners will have an opportunity to study various subjects, including Human Development, Care Values and Principles and Social Influences. This course also includes a placement and the SVQ Social Services and Healthcare at SCQF Level 6.

Successful completion of this course will allow learners to go on to study at HNC level and/or register with the SSSC as a support worker.

Entry Requirements

4 subjects at National 5 including English; or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5; written test

Progression Routes

Completion of all units, a good attendance record, and a positive reference may allow learners to progress to HNC Social Services, HNC Healthcare Practice and/or register with the SSSC as a support worker.
