This course offers a variety of Level 6 subjects relevant to careers in health and social care, including nursing and social work. It covers a range of care-based topics designed to enhance knowledge across different care settings. Core skills are integrated throughout the programme.
The award includes national units at the Higher level. The subjects in the care field include:
Stress and Stress Management; Caring for People with Dementia; Social Services in Scotland; Leadership in Practice; Academic Study Skills; Understanding Mental Health and Mental Illness.
4 subjects at National 5 including English, or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5.
