Edinburgh Campus
Level 1: Students follow introductory courses in Economics; Accountancy; Finance; and Enterprise and Business Management; as well as choosing from a wide range of elective subjects including Legal Method; Business Information Systems; or Modern Languages.
Level 2: Students study the more functional areas of Business Administration. Core subjects include Quantitative Methods with the option to also study a wide range of business subjects such as Marketing, HRM, Operations Management, Organisational Behaviour, and Commercial Law. Elective courses are also taken.
Level 3: Courses taken during third year count towards the honours classification of the degree. Courses available include International Strategic Management; Employment Law; Operations Management; Consumer Behaviour; and Project Management.
Level 4: Students have the opportunity to develop their specialist interests in Business Administration and Management by undertaking a dissertation. Students also take management courses from a wide range of subjects including International Marketing; Retail Studies; Stress and Work; Logistics; International Business Law; Diversity Management; Law of HRM; Marketing Communications; and Company Law.
2021 entry requirements:
Standard entry: 4 Highers at AAAB (two sittings) plus English and Maths at National 5.
Widening access entry: 4 Highers at BBBC (two sittings) plus English and Maths at National 5.
For entry to Level 2 you would require 2 Advanced Highers at BB including one from Maths, Accounting, Business Management or Economics plus 4 Highers at AAAB.
