THis course provides the essential practical laboratory skills and theoretical knowledge required for employment in the health and industrial sectors. It covers a range of science subjects and prepares you for further study at university.
Biology; Microbiology; Biochemistry; Chemistry; Mathematics and statistics; Laboratory skills.
Higher Biology or Human Biology and Chemistry plus National 5 English and Maths at A or B; or Foundation Apprenticeship in Science at SCQF Level 6; or relevant NC or NQ. Interview.
You may apply for 2nd year entry to the HND Applied Biological Science (Biomedical Route) or HND Industrial Biotechnology.
You may gain 1st or 2nd year entry to a range of science and biomedical degree programmes at Glasgow Caledonian University, University of Glasgow, University of Strathclyde, and University of the West of Scotland, or the Open University. Employment in related industry.
