Content

Years 1 and 2: You will gain a broad understanding of modern biology related to life sciences, while developing laboratory and transferable skills such as critical analysis, ethics and data handling; this provides the foundation for your degree and future career.

You can also study other subjects in years 1 and 2.

Years 3 and 4: If you progress to Honours, advanced knowledge of anatomy will be developed in your Honours years through cadaveric dissection to comprehensively understand the human body, including its 3D interrelationships. You will also gain practical experience in microscopy, embryology and molecular techniques while linking your anatomical knowledge to biomedical research. You will also develop teamworking and leadership skills and learn how to critique and communicate research.

In your final year, you will work closely with leading researchers and/or clinicians to complete an independent project in a biomedical field of your choice, learning how anatomically related advances impact the scientific and the wider community.
