This innovative new course has been developed in response to the increased demand for adults looking for a more flexible method of learning and for those who may not be able to come to a college campus for study. This programme is part of the Scottish Wider Access Programme (SWAP) for adults who have been out of full-time education for a while.

You will study a range of subjects at SCQF level 5 and 6, including Chemistry, Physics and Maths , as well as units in Experimental Procedures, ICT and Communication. You will also gain practical laboratory and field experience in experimental procedures through intensive practical weeks in Perth.

Entry Requirements

Subjects at National 5 including Maths, Physics, Chemistry or Engineering is preferred; or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5. Interview.

Progression Routes

The Access programme should open up higher level study options including the HNC Applied Sciences and science related degrees.

This course prepares you for a wide range of career options in science, physiotherapy, podiatry, technology and health based industries. Further study may be open to you at degree level in science, technology, environmental or health related science fields.
