The HNC Applied Biological Sciences is a general science qualification intended for those wishing to find employment in the science industries or to progress to further study at HND level. It is a broad course providing students with knowledge and skills related to biological, chemical and physical sciences. Students will also develop a wide range of practical laboratory skills in addition to gaining an understanding of good laboratory practice.

Lab Skills for Science Industries; Cell Biology; Chemistry; Maths; Biochemistry; Microbiology; DNA and Genetics; Biotechnology; Human Body Structure and Function; Graded Unit.

Entry Requirements

2 Highers, preferably Biology and Chemistry; or Foundation Apprenticeship Scientific Technologies plus 1 Higher; or NC Applied Science (Level 6).
