This course has been designed in agreement with the University of Glasgow, to allow successful students to progress to the second year of various Life Sciences degree programs at the University.

You'll learn about: Laboratory Skills, Microbiology, Chemistry, Cell biology, Biochemistry, DNA and genetics, The human body, Statistics/Mathematics.

Entry Requirements

1 relevant Higher, preferably Biology, Chemistry or Human Biology plus Maths at National 5 preferred; or NC Applied Science with Forensics (Level 6); or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Applicants with appropriate experience or other training may be accepted without formal qualifications. A place on the course is subject to an interview process.

Progression Routes

HND Biomedical Sciences or a degree course at university, through the college's articulation arrangements. You may also take up a technical level post in the NHS.
